Investra is building an AI‑first, agentic platform that empowers real‑estate professionals and investors to research, analyze, and collaborate. We are passionate about crafting simple, intuitive experiences that harness the power of AI to make complex workflows effortless. We’re looking for a senior‑level designer to help us refresh our website, design our web and mobile products, and craft presentation visuals that communicate our vision. This is a 40‑hour/week contract role, open globally; we ask only that you share at least two hours of overlap between 8–10 AM Pacific each day.
You will be the first designer on the team, it is a unique opportunity to own the design strategy from the ground up. You’ll work closely with the founding team to shape the product’s identity, feel, and user experience across web, mobile, and marketing. What you’ll do
- Own the end‑to‑end design for our website, web app, and mobile app, creating user‑centric interfaces and delightful experiences.
- Redesign and evolve Investra’s website to clearly communicate our story and convert visitors into engaged users.
- Collaborate closely with the founding team and engineers to translate product goals into innovative design solutions.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights; turn findings into wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs.
- Apply a human-centered design approach, ensuring solutions are empathetic, inclusive, and grounded in real user needs.
- Design presentation and marketing assets, producing high-quality visuals that tell compelling product and brand stories.
- Champion AI-first design by identifying opportunities to simplify workflows, AI-powered chatbot features, and create intuitive agentic interactions.
- Define our design system, ensuring consistency across web, mobile, and presentation materials.
- Stay current with design trends, accessibility standards, and AI‑driven UX patterns; advocate for inclusive and ethical design.
What we’re looking for
We are seeking a senior designer who has built and scaled user experiences for diverse audiences. You understand how to balance clarity, speed, and aesthetics at scale, and you know how to translate business goals into intuitive experiences. Above all, you are passionate about designing with empathy and leveraging AI to create truly user‑centric experiences.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing web and mobile applications, with a strong portfolio of scaled products.
- Proficiency in prototyping tools (Figma) and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Strong track record of creating and maintaining design systems across platforms.
- Strong visual storytelling skills, with a track record of designing compelling presentations and marketing assets.
- Deep understanding of human-centered design, responsive design, accessibility, and interaction design.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing, and iterating based on insights is a plus.
- Experience designing for AI-powered products or a strong interest in emerging AI UX patterns and paradigms is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable collaborating with distributed teams and presenting to stakeholders.
- Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving startup environment.
